Terms of Service

For the purposes of these Terms:

Account means your registered SessionPlug account.

Content means all recordings, files, projects, scripts, images, messages, metadata and other material uploaded to or created within SessionPlug.

Guest means any invited participant joining a recording session.

Host means the account holder controlling a recording session.

Recording Session means any live or offline session created within SessionPlug.

Subscription means any paid plan purchased through SessionPlug.

Services means all software, websites, applications, cloud infrastructure and functionality provided by SessionPlug.

To use SessionPlug you must:

• be at least 18 years old;
• have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
• comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

If you are using SessionPlug on behalf of a company, organisation or client, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

SessionPlug provides browser-based professional recording tools including, but not limited to:

Features available depend on your subscription tier. We may improve, modify or discontinue features from time to time.

You agree to: provide accurate information; keep your password confidential; maintain the security of your account; notify us immediately if your account has been compromised.

You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account.

SessionPlug offers multiple subscription plans and access options which may include:

• Free
• Artist
• Studio
• Studio+
• Day Pass access
• Additional plans introduced from time to time

Features, usage limits, storage allocations, guest limits and functionality may vary between subscription tiers.

Subscription plans may be billed monthly or annually depending on the selected billing option.

Eligible new accounts receive a free 3-day trial of the Studio plan. No payment method is required to start or use it (see section 7).

Pricing, billing intervals and available currencies are displayed during checkout and may vary by region.

Payments may be processed through PayFast for customers in South Africa and Paddle for customers in supported international regions.

SessionPlug reserves the right to introduce, modify or discontinue plans, features or pricing from time to time in accordance with these Terms.

Eligible new accounts receive a free trial of the Studio plan lasting 3 days from the account's first sign-in to the dashboard. No payment method is required to start or use the trial.

The free trial ends automatically after 3 days. Nothing is charged when it ends, and no subscription is created unless you choose to subscribe.

When the trial ends, your account returns to the free tier. Ending the trial does not delete your projects or recordings.

Free trials are limited to one per account. Accounts that already hold or have held a subscription, complimentary access or a day pass are not eligible.

Where a subscription is purchased on a plan that carries its own trial period with a payment method on file, that payment method will be charged at the end of that trial period unless the subscription is cancelled before then; the exact terms are shown at checkout.

SessionPlug reserves the right to withdraw, refuse or revoke trial access where abuse or misuse is reasonably suspected.

Certain subscription plans may be purchased on an annual billing cycle.

Annual subscriptions are billed in advance for the full subscription period.

Promotional offers such as "2 months free" represent discounted annual pricing equivalent to approximately two free months when compared to monthly billing.

Cancellation of annual subscriptions prevents future renewals but does not normally entitle the subscriber to a partial refund for unused time unless required by applicable law.

SessionPlug may offer Day Pass access in selected regions.

A Day Pass provides access to eligible SessionPlug features for a limited period, typically twenty-four (24) hours from activation.

Day Pass purchases do not automatically renew and do not create an ongoing subscription.

Unused Day Pass purchases are generally non-refundable once activated unless required by applicable law.

You retain full ownership of all recordings and content you upload or create. SessionPlug does not claim ownership of your intellectual property. However, you grant SessionPlug a limited, non-exclusive licence to: host your recordings; process audio; store projects; generate exports; deliver files; perform services requested by you.

This licence automatically ends when your content is deleted, subject to legal backup and retention obligations.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that all participants: know they are being recorded; have provided any consent required by applicable law.

SessionPlug provides technology for recording sessions but does not monitor or verify consent.

You agree not to: upload unlawful material; infringe copyright; upload malware; reverse engineer the platform; attempt unauthorised access; interfere with security; overload the platform; share accounts contrary to your subscription; use automated systems that negatively impact the Service; use SessionPlug for illegal surveillance or unlawful recording.

An Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you: breach these Terms; engage in fraudulent activity; misuse the platform; create security risks; fail to pay subscription fees.

Termination does not affect any accrued rights or obligations.

SessionPlug is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no guarantees regarding: uninterrupted availability; compatibility with all devices; error-free operation; suitability for every production workflow.
