Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 1 July 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how subscriptions, cancellations, refunds, and billing are handled for SessionPlug, a service operated by Produce My Ad (Pty) Ltd. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to this Policy in addition to our Terms of Service.

1.Subscription Plans

SessionPlug (formerly Studio Connect) currently offers:

  • Free
  • Artist
  • Studio
  • Studio+
  • Day Pass access
  • Additional plans introduced from time to time

Features, pricing, currencies and billing options may vary by plan and region.

Payments may be processed through PayFast for customers in South Africa and Paddle for customers in supported international regions.

Pricing is displayed during checkout in the applicable currency. South African customers are generally billed in South African Rand (ZAR), while international customers may be billed in United States Dollars (USD) or another supported currency.

2.Free Trials

Eligible new accounts receive a free 3-day trial of the Studio plan. No payment method is required, and nothing is charged when that trial ends.

Because no payment is taken for the free trial, there is nothing to refund. A subscription begins only if you choose to subscribe.

Free trials are limited to one per account. Accounts that already hold or have held a subscription, complimentary access or a day pass are not eligible.

Where a subscription is purchased on a plan that carries its own trial period with a payment method on file, that payment method will be charged at the end of that trial period unless cancelled before then; such charges follow the subscription refund terms below.

SessionPlug reserves the right to revoke or refuse trial access where abuse is suspected.

3.Annual Billing

Certain subscription plans may be billed annually.

Annual subscriptions are billed in advance for the full subscription term.

Promotional offers such as "2 months free" represent discounted annual pricing equivalent to approximately two months free when compared to monthly billing.

Cancellation of annual subscriptions prevents future renewals but does not normally entitle customers to a partial refund for unused subscription time unless required by applicable law.

4.Day Pass Access

Day Pass purchases provide access to eligible SessionPlug functionality for a limited period, typically 24 hours from activation.

Day Pass purchases do not automatically renew and do not create a subscription.

Unused Day Pass purchases are generally non-refundable once activated unless required by applicable law.

5.Automatic Renewal

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual, depending on your selected plan) unless cancelled before the next renewal date.

By subscribing, you authorise SessionPlug and the applicable payment provider (PayFast or Paddle) to charge your selected payment method on each renewal date until your subscription is cancelled.

6.Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time by:

If your subscription was processed through Paddle, you may also manage or cancel your subscription through the Paddle customer portal using the link included in your subscription confirmation email or receipt.

When you cancel:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of your current paid billing period.
  • You will not be charged again unless you choose to reactivate your subscription.
  • Your account will automatically revert to the Free Plan once your paid subscription expires.

Cancelling your subscription does not automatically delete your SessionPlug account or any stored content.

7.Deleting Your Account

If you wish to permanently delete your SessionPlug account and associated data, you may request account deletion by contacting our support team or by using the account deletion feature where available.

Deletion requests are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable legal obligations.

Certain information, including invoices, payment records and transaction history, may be retained where required by law.

8.Refund Policy

SessionPlug provides immediate access to digital software and subscription services.

For purchases processed directly by SessionPlug or through PayFast, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has commenced, except where required by applicable law.

For purchases processed through Paddle, refund requests and consumer withdrawal rights are handled in accordance with Paddle's Buyer Terms and applicable consumer protection laws, including Paddle's 14-day refund and withdrawal policy where applicable.

Refunds are not normally provided for:

  • Partial subscription periods;
  • Unused subscription time;
  • Failure to use the Service after purchase;
  • Accidental purchases where the Service has already been accessed.

Nothing in this Policy limits any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded in your country of residence.

Customers whose purchases are processed through Paddle may also have additional consumer rights depending on the laws applicable in their country of purchase. Where required by law, those rights will apply.

Customers purchasing through Paddle may be entitled to request a refund within 14 days of purchase in accordance with Paddle's Buyer Terms and applicable local consumer protection legislation.

Where a customer has expressly requested immediate access to SessionPlug and has begun using the Service during that period, eligibility for a refund may be reduced or excluded to the extent permitted by law and Paddle's policies.

9.When We Will Consider a Refund

Refund requests will be considered where:

  • You were charged more than once for the same subscription period;
  • You were billed incorrectly due to a billing or system error;
  • A technical fault within SessionPlug prevented reasonable use of the paid Service;
  • Applicable consumer protection laws require a refund; or
  • We determine, at our sole discretion, that a refund is appropriate.

Refund requests should normally be submitted within 14 days of the relevant charge.

Where a purchase was processed through Paddle, approved refunds may be processed in accordance with Paddle's refund procedures and any applicable consumer protection laws.

10.Refund Method

Where a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will generally be returned using the original payment method.
  • Payments processed through PayFast will be refunded through PayFast where possible.
  • Payments processed through Paddle will be refunded through Paddle in accordance with their payment procedures.

Processing times depend on the relevant payment provider and your financial institution, and refunds may take several business days to appear on your statement.

11.Failed Payments

If a recurring payment cannot be processed:

  • Your subscription may be suspended;
  • Paid features may become unavailable;
  • PayFast or Paddle may retry the payment in accordance with their respective payment processes.

You may update your payment details and reactivate your subscription at any time.

12.Promotional Offers

From time to time SessionPlug may offer:

  • Free trials;
  • Introductory pricing;
  • Promotional discounts;
  • Pilot programmes; or
  • Other limited-time offers.

Unless otherwise stated, these offers:

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • Cannot be combined with other promotions; and
  • Are subject to their published terms and conditions.

13.Chargebacks

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, we encourage you to contact our support team before initiating a chargeback through your bank or card issuer.

Where your payment was processed through Paddle, you may also contact Paddle's customer support regarding billing enquiries.

Most billing issues can be resolved quickly without interrupting your access to SessionPlug.

Where a chargeback is initiated:

  • We reserve the right to suspend access to paid services while the dispute is investigated.
  • Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in permanent account suspension.
  • We may provide transaction and usage records to the relevant payment provider or financial institution where necessary to respond to the dispute.

Nothing in this section limits your legal rights.

14.Changes to Pricing

SessionPlug may update subscription pricing from time to time.

Where pricing changes affect existing subscribers, reasonable notice will be provided before the new pricing takes effect.

Continued use of the paid Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated pricing.

15.Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Policy excludes, limits or replaces any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable legislation.

For South African customers, this includes the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002, where applicable.

Customers purchasing through Paddle may also benefit from mandatory consumer rights applicable in their country of purchase.

16.Payment Providers

SessionPlug uses trusted third-party payment providers to process subscription payments.

For customers in South Africa, payments are generally processed by PayFast.

For customers in supported international regions, payments are generally processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record for those transactions. This means Paddle is responsible for processing payments, collecting applicable taxes, issuing invoices where applicable, and administering certain payment-related consumer rights.

Purchases processed by Paddle are additionally subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms, including Paddle's refund and withdrawal policies where applicable.
